Same-day digital X-rays for fractures, sprains, chest pain, and injuries — read on site by our medical team. No appointment, no waiting weeks for an imaging center.
If you've fallen, twisted an ankle, jammed a finger, or you're worried about chest pain, you don't want to spend half a day in an emergency room or wait two weeks for an imaging center appointment. Sage Urgent Care has a digital X-ray suite right inside our Berkeley Heights clinic — so you can be evaluated, imaged, and get answers all in one visit.
Our providers are trained in musculoskeletal evaluation and chest imaging interpretation. We read your X-ray on site, walk you through what we see, and develop a treatment plan with you before you leave. For complex cases that need a radiologist's overread or specialist follow-up, we coordinate that for you.
Our digital system covers the most commonly needed urgent-care X-ray studies:
For specialized imaging — CT scans, MRI, ultrasound, or contrast studies — we refer to nearby imaging partners and help schedule rapidly.
X-rayed, read, and treated in the same visit — no follow-up appointment needed for most cases.
Our digital X-ray system uses far less radiation than older film systems and includes pediatric shielding.
Your provider will walk through your images with you, explain findings, and answer questions before you leave.
Walk in seven days a week. Most patients are in and out in under an hour, including imaging time.
We accept Aetna, Blue Cross, Cigna, United, Medicare, and most major plans. Self-pay rates available.
With your consent, we forward images and reports to your PCP or specialist within one business day.
No — Sage Urgent Care offers walk-in X-rays seven days a week. You'll be evaluated by our medical team, imaged on site, and have your results read the same visit. Most patients are in and out in under an hour. Call (908) 363-0378 if you'd like to confirm wait times before coming in.
Cost depends on your insurance and the body part being imaged. Most major insurance plans cover diagnostic X-rays as part of an urgent care visit. We accept most insurance and also offer transparent self-pay rates. Bring your insurance card and we'll verify coverage at check-in.
Our digital X-ray system can image extremities (hands, wrists, fingers, arms, elbows, shoulders, feet, ankles, knees, and legs), chest, ribs, spine, and pelvis. For specialized imaging like CT, MRI, or ultrasound, we'll refer you to a partner imaging center.
Yes — our providers can splint or stabilize most simple, non-displaced fractures and refer you to an orthopedic specialist for follow-up. For complex or displaced fractures, dislocations, or open fractures, we'll ensure you're stabilized and direct you to the appropriate ER or specialist.
Yes. We image patients of all ages, including children. We use the lowest effective radiation dose and apply protective shielding to minimize exposure for pediatric patients. A parent or guardian must accompany any child under 18.
Results are read on site, the same visit. Our provider will review your images with you, explain what they show, and discuss next steps before you leave. We can also forward images and reports to your primary care provider or specialist on request.
Yes — with your permission, we can send your X-ray images and the radiology report to your primary care physician, orthopedist, or any other treating provider, usually within one business day.
No appointment needed. Stop by our Berkeley Heights location any day from 8 AM to 8 PM, or call ahead with questions.
